Penryn Rugby Club, Cornwall's Oldest Rugby Club have been boosted with a new look brand identity, by local specialists Just the Trick Design ahead of their 150th celebrations.

This exciting partnership will bring even more prestige to the ever-growing portfolio of clubs and associations they support. In turn, this will raise the bar of how local teams are perceived within their communities and further afield.

Founder Danny Trick said:

"Our goal has been to produce an identity that evokes a sense of belonging within the borough that both players, members, and fans will be proud to be part of at Penryn Rugby Football Club.

"For the upcoming 150th celebrations (1872-2022), the traditional Red and Black hoops return to the Home jersey with a subtle, sublimated laurel pattern introduced to communications signifying its importance, a reference to the original laurel that adorned the Saracen's head within the town's identity."

The Club's new crest now sits centre stage of the laurel, with a map of Cornwall making up the neck of the Saracen's Head containing a marker for the position of Penryn within the county.

The fresh design boasts a classic black round shape with a strong gold trim.

The plan is for the celebration mark to evolve into the same design dropping the gold after the celebrations, and moving towards the traditional Penryn Rugby colours of Black and Red with a touch of grey.

A proud Tim Nicholls President of Penryn RFC added:

"The launch of our new identity is only the first step of a series of commemorative events and celebrations to bring the community together.

"We kick off on August 26th with the launch of our new kit and our events will be published soon ranging from family fun days, nostalgia evenings, player reunions, local derby's, and gala events."
