Penryn man arrested following bomb threat at Masonic Lodge

Devon and Cornwall Police have made an arrest in connection with a bomb scare earlier this week at Penryn Masonic Club, New Street.

On Tuesday (2nd) Police and the Royal Navy were called to an incident after the discovery of a 'suspicious incendiary device'.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"A Penryn man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted arson with intent to endanger life and bailed until 29th June pending further enquiries.

"Police are appealing to anyone who may have CCTV footage in the area of New Street and the B3292 to get in touch."
