Police are appealing for witnesses following an accident yesterday evening between a car and a bike.

At around 2008 hours yesterday (29th), Devon and Cornwall Police received a call to a road traffic collision at Higher Treluswell, Penryn where a cyclist was airlifted to hospital.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

"This collision involved a motor vehicle and a pedal cycle. As a result of this collision, a 15-year-old local male was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

"Local police officers and specialist officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene, closed the road and commenced a full forensic examination.

"Police are requesting that any witnesses that may have any information and or dash camera footage to please come forward unless they have already been in contact with officers at the scene."
