A Penryn College student has qualified for the National Schools Table Tennis Finals.

Year 7 pupil Erin Bryant progressed to the Finals after fighting off stiff competition to win the U13 Girl's County Schools Championship at Penryn College last week, following a succession of fantastic performances.

As a reward for her County Schools success, Erin will compete against some of the finest young table tennis players in England during April's National Schools Table Tennis Finals, staged in Wolverhampton.

Reflecting on Erin's success, Penryn College Sports Coordinator, Daniel Lugg, said: "Erin's tournament performance was fantastic, and her hard work has really paid off.

"Not only is she now a County Schools champion, but she also gets the opportunity to represent Penryn College on a national level. We wish her the very best of luck."
