The Ceo of the mental health charity Sea Sanctuary has announced that they will be closing at the end of January after failing to secure the funds needed to stay open.
At the start of December as reported by Nub News, Sea Sanctuary started an appeal to raise money else they would face imminent closure (you can read more about the work done by the charity here)
Although they managed to raise some it wasn't enough and they will now be offering those that donate the chance to get a refund or let the money be used for another donation towards a different mental health charity.
Anyone wishing to get a refund can contact: [email protected]
Founder and Ceo Joe Sabien shared this message: " On behalf of the directors and staff alike, I would like to thank you for your over these years and we sincerely hope the service has been of help - please remember though you are the real engine behind your improved mental health."
In the message, Mr. Sabien also said that later in the week the charity will be posting more information and will be celebrating their 13 yr journey. You can keep up to date with any news on their Twitter: Sea Sanctuary or website: Blog - Sea Sanctuary.
