Penryn and Falmouth Funeral Directors are encouraging local residents to pay tribute to those who have passed away - but whose death can't be mourned properly because of coronavirus.

The funeral directors say it will mean a lot to bereaved families to know they are not alone at a time of loss when access to funerals is limited.

Robin Hattswell-Burt and Roy Sanders, Independent funeral directors, told Nub News:

"At Penryn & Falmouth Funeral Directors, we have always believed in maintaining traditional funerals and putting families first.

"In these most difficult times, families are very limited to the number of people that they are able to have present at either a Graveside or Crematorium Funeral.

"We believe that in reviving some of the past traditions of bowing, or 'doffing one's hat' to the hearse that it's a way of showing our families that people are showing their respect.

"As the only independently owned Funeral Directors with premises in the towns of Penryn or Falmouth, our ethos is Quality Personal Service at a fair price. We can achieve this as we have no head office structure, no company pension plans and our key concern is to care for our families"

"We have always strived to put our families wishes first and give them and their loved ones the service that they desire and deserve, we have been proudly serving the local area for nearly 20 years."
