You may have seen how you can celebrate St Piran's Day in Falmouth and Truro, with lots of activities planned in Truro on the 4th of March and Falmouth on the 6th but if you're looking for some fun on the traditional day of Cornish celebration then this might be for you.
On Sunday the 5th of March the Pendennis Brass Falmouth band will be holding an open rehearsal at the Mawnan Memorial Hall as they prepare for the upcoming regional brass band championships in Torquay.
The band posted on social media hoping to see as many faces as possible to celebrate, Pendennis Brass said: "Join us for a special 'open rehearsal' style concert that promises to be a truly unique experience. You'll have the opportunity to see our talented musicians in action as they fine-tune their skills and perfect their performances for the big day.
We will be showcasing a short programme of Cornish music in addition to performing and rehearsing our set work, Chorale and Toccata by Stephen Bulla. This is your chance to see how we make the magic happen and help us steady our nerves ahead of the final performance. We've already been rehearsing tirelessly and are keen as mustard to share our progress with you.
"Your support is crucial to us, and we're grateful for every member of our community who comes out to support us. Plus, it provides us all with an essential opportunity to get together and belt out a few verses of Trelawny."
Doors will open at the hall from 5:30 pm with a 6:00 pm start, there is no cost but donations are welcome.
