The award-winning Parklive continues to improve the quality of performances for the Virtual One #5 of 2020 and intends to keep its promise to continue bringing local music directly to the homes of people in Falmouth and Penryn, Cornwall, throughout the UK and across the waters.

This month we will be showing some special feature videos from Kevin Thomas (Falmouth Buzz 2020) demonstrating Parklive's love of the natural world.

Parklive will provide the platform for Cornwall-based performers in what has become a unique monthly virtual event.

Parklive will be broadcast on Parklive Youtube Channel on Sunday, 30th August from 12.00 to 1800, featuring an exciting and varied line up of music, spoken word and cooking. Musicians include:

Bache - singer/songwriter from Cornwall playing singalong dancealong covers and originals;

Billie Flynn is an acoustic artist from Cornwall who is currently working on her debut release. She holds a strong focus on lyrics, being inspired by poetry in her songwriting;

Horses in Disguise - a folk punk duo from Cornwall;

McMc Spoken with Steve Gruitt - McMc Spoken (Meg Chapman) is a Penryn based poet. She has performed both locally and nationally at many and varied events and festivals. Meg met guitarist Steve Gruitt through The Source 96.1fm. They have been collaborating for just over a year. Their aim being to merge spoken word with melodic and ambient music;

Joined at the Hip - Jo & Graham are regulars on the West Devon open mic. circuit, playing a range of covers and original songs. As hemi-demi-semi-professionals they also play private gigs and charitable events. Their first album is still In Their Dreams;

The Extraordinarily Ordinary Gentlemen with Sarah McDonagh - a 5 piece jazz set featuring Sarah McDonagh – tenor and soprano sax, flute - Martin Bowie - guitar - Matt Johns - Organ - Al Black - bass - Keith Michael - drums;

Howling Hermit & the Dwellers - travelling vibernauts from the farthest reaches of the future, guaranteed to soothe your ears and move your sweet legs to the dancefloor;

Grapefruit Moon - a perfect dissecting line between americana and folk laced with harmonies and accessible melody - and

The Roustabouts - A group of musicians, fire performers and circus artists based in Cornwall, UK. We offer a mini musical circus experience that will amuse, bemuse and amaze.

Mac Dunlop, composer, poet and performer and Paddy Haughton of Penryn Community Theatre contribute spoken word segments and Alex Bradshaw, the owner of Kimberley Perk, the café in Kimberley Park will be cooking up a treat for us!
