Parklive goes Virtual and Stands Against Violence - SourceFM

16th Sep 2021 | Local News

Responding to the COVID19 restrictions needed for us all to be safe, the award winning Parklive is going virtual and pledges to continue bringing local music directly to the homes of people in Falmouth, in Cornwall, throughout the UK and across the waters.

A fund raiser running alongside the event will be a chance for people to donate to The Women's Centre Cornwall via the GoFundMe page Parklive Stands Against Violence.

At a time when all are home, there are those for whom home means fear and violence. We stand against that.

Parklive will provide the platform for Cornwall-based performers in what will become a unique monthly virtual event.

"Music can help us keep sane at difficult times. There are so many talented performers out there doing such amazing work. We decided that the show must go on" Simon Neild, producer of Parklive explains.

"We will stream Facebook performances on to our YouTube channel, all coordinated from my home. A technical challenge which I am happy to take on" says Ivor Richards, technical magician in chief for Parklive.

Parklive will be broadcast on Parklive Youtube Channel Sunday, 26th April from 12.00 to 1800, featuring: 3 Daft Monkeys; Sam Bradbury; Charlie Wingfield; Chris Hutchins; Danio; James Dixon; Val Baker; Charlie Louise; Minti Hindu; Helm DeVegas and Mog Jones.

This event would not be possible without the ongoing support of our extraordinary sponsors,

Falmouth Town Council, Amata (Falmouth University), Jubilee Wharf, Falmouth Tyres and A1 Appliances.

Tune in on our YouTube channel – All At Parklive - Sunday 26th April from 12pm! We suggest you subscribe in order to be advised of the show start.

There will also be a link on our website - www.parklive.rocks - and the Source FM Facebook page.

The Parklive team would like to thank all the artists for giving their time and talent to the event.

Parklive is organised by Source FM 96.1, the community radio station for Falmouth and Penryn.
