Overnight roadworks to begin on High Street, Falmouth

Roadworks are set to begin this evening in Falmouth on the High Street.

The work is being undertaken for blockage clearing works, beginning tonight 15th, and expecting to finish Wednesday 17th.

A road closure and diversion will be in place between the junctions of Beacon Street and Webber Street, within hours of 7pm and 7am on a daily basis.

Kevin Bryant, Head of Highways and Infrastructure, added:

"Nothing in this order will apply to emergency services, bus traffic, school buses, cyclists, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer.

"Pedestrian and vehicular access to residents and businesses will be maintained."
