On the 20th of December, the New Street Church is putting on a Christmas connect event for those that may find the fuss and jolliness of the holiday difficult.

The church says you can come on your own (or with others) to a safe, welcoming space to sing a few carols and think about Christmas in a quiet and reflective way.

There will be no pressure to join in at any time and the service will be short with time allowed for you to just sit, pray or think.

At the end of the service, you can stay sitting quietly for a while longer, decide it's time to go home, or stay on to chat and have a simple supper of cheese, bread, and soup. It's totally up to you and again, there's no pressure at all.

Doors open and refreshments: 6.30 pm, Quieter carols: 7.00 pm, Simple supper: 7.45 pm.
