An additional police officer has started patrolling in Falmouth.
The Neighbourhood Beat Manager just started with the team - tasked with tackling anti-social behaviour in the town.
Falmouth and Truro MP Cherilyn Mackrory said it was a "positive step" to help the Falmouth police team and community.
This year, Devon and Cornwall Police Force will have the most amount of police officers it has ever had - with around 3,600 officers in post.
Cherilyn added:
"I am pleased to confirm that an additional neighbourhood beat manager has just started for the police in Falmouth.
"This can only help with the challenges the town has been facing recently.
"I will continue to shout loud so that we get a fair share of the uplift in Truro and Falmouth."
In response, Falmouth and Truro Labour MP candidate Jayne Kirkham added:
"Fab that we've finally got our extra neighbourhood police officer. Shame we lost about 8 PCSOs beforehand, who are generally the ones you used to see about town (other than the much-missed Andy Hocking)."
