An exhibition is opening later this evening to coincide with Falmouth Week which is all about the seaside town.

Paul Ryan - All About Falmouth is an exhibition of ink drawings focusing on different locations including the docks, the point, the town, and the pier.

Paul retired to Falmouth several years ago having taught art and design at Windsor College. When describing his exhibition to Nub News, he said: "I became a member of the Poly guild and have had a solo exhibition every year.l keep sketchbooks alongside my paintings and have decided to exhibit pages of them."

Paul keeps sketchbooks of drawings made with ink pen and felt tips. This runs parallel to his paintings that are abstract but still relate to a sense of place – trying to find what Falmouth is all about.

The exhibition will run from today (8 August) until Saturday 12 August. There will be a preview show tonight from 5- 7 PM with everyone welcome.

It takes place at The Poly and is completely free to enter: Paul Ryan: All About - Exhibitions - What's On - The Poly at Falmouth
