Man left seriously injured following Falmouth assault

Police are appealing for any witnesses following a serious assault in Church Street, Falmouth.

Police enquiries are ongoing and have appealed for any video footage of the incident.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said:

"Officers were called to reports of an altercation in Church Street at around 1:15am on Sunday (16th).

"A man aged in his 20s suffered serious head injuries. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition at this time."

A 35-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and released under investigation.
