The owner of a missing dog from Penryn has said they are overcome with worry as they launch a major appeal for the return of Charlie.
Charlie, a pedigree German Wirehaired Pointer, went missing on Tuesday 31st August from the Truro Hill area of Penryn.
Charlie's family, a local lady who is the main carer for her elderly mother, are both worried he could have been stolen.
As a result, a group that has been put together to co-ordinate the search, the owner has been out searching since last week.
Saturday (4th) saw a coordinated search carried out involving local people who gave up their time to help.
All the local lost dog groups got involved and heat-sensitive drones were used.
Local farmers have also given permission for their land to be accessed and are keeping a watch out whilst harvesting.
A spokesperson coordinating the search told Nub News:
"There is already much local support for this lady but if we could get the word out there, even more, it would be amazing, particularly if he has been stolen we need to ask people to watch out for someone who has recently acquired a huge hairy brown dog."
