Chiara Muzzi, representing Source FM at the G7 spoke to Nub News about the delight in being involved in the summit.

It was a great surprise to find out Source FM were covering the summit, two community voices representing Falmouth at a global event.

Also, brilliant to spend some time with Chiara and speak in-depth about Source, and what they were hoping to get from the G7.

Chiara told Nub News:

"I am really thankful to Source FM for allowing me to be part of this. For me, it is the first time I have taken part in a G7 or such big press gatherings.

"I could have probably done my work outside of the media centre but somehow because you have this yellow badge people talk to you in a different way. Also, the fact it is all audio only and I am from a community station makes it less threatening to a lot of people."

The work Chiara was focusing on was primarily "community voices", setting up at Castle Beach for a few days inviting residents to come and discuss their concerns/views on the G7.

Chiara was also delving more into the Women's 7, the C7, the vaccine campaign, and Kill The Bill.

She also got the chance to speak with a lecturer who studies protests, and engaging with members of XR.

Chiara added:

"I am grateful for the opportunity because I have an interest in international issues, so this was a chance for me to merge community with global aspects."
