Falmouth's Harbour Lights fish and chip shop is on the lookout for local heroes in its annual community awards.

The winner will receive free fish and chips for a year, a locally sculptured gong to win, and prize money for the top three winners to support their chosen good deed.

Now in its fourth year, this is an opportunity to recognise someone in

Falmouth or the surrounding villages for their hero-like actions.

Harbour Lights are looking for nominations from anyone who feels they know someone who deserves some recognition for their dedication and hard work for a good course, or the continuing support to the greater good or just a general good individual in Falmouth.

The Falmouth Community Hero Awards will have its own celebration at the Harbour Lights for the shortlisted finalists and their supporters, on Monday 6th December.

A spokesperson for Harbour Lights said:

"If you know someone who you feel needs some recognition and a thank you for all that they do for a community group, charity, or sports club, then get in touch and let us know.

"Let us share in some appreciation, recognition, and reward for the Falmouth residents that continue to make a difference."
