The Poly Falmouth is always offering a mix of events and workshops for the local community, so why not take advantage of their pottery courses and learn a new skill in 2023?

Whether you want to learn the basics of hand building, have a go at throwing on the wheel, or explore some more advanced techniques, The Poly offers a wide range of courses throughout the year for all abilities.  

There are only a few spaces remaining for the three hugely popular six-week pottery workshops starting in January.

Each course will take place at The Poly Pottery (at the back of The Poly, accessed from New Street).

POTTERY WORKSHOP: BEGINNER'S HANDBUILDING

This course will take place on Mondays, from 2 pm-4 pm(If starting in January). These workshops will be the perfect introduction to ceramics, you will learn about one of the oldest forms of pottery.

POTTERY WORKSHOP: THROWING

This course will take place on Tuesdays, from 2 pm-4 pm(If starting in January). This course is open to all abilities, whether you're a novice or an experienced potter looking to expand your skills on the wheel.

POTTERY WORKSHOP: INTERMEDIATE

This course will take place on Wednesdays from 2 pm-4 pm. These workshops have been designed for people with more experience, to develop their existing skills and start to gain knowledge in a broader range of building, firing, and glazing techniques.
