KFC is looking to open another branch in Falmouth, after the shock announcement their store on The Moor will cease trading after Sunday (February 2nd).

In a brief statement confirming the closure, the company said:

"We're sad to say goodbye to Falmouth, but we love the town so we'll be finding a new location soon!"

This is good for those who mourned the loss of the chicken spot after the news broke on Wednesday to divided opinion.

Some residents felt it left room for a new independent shop to take its place, while some were sad about the loss of the bargain bucket giant.

A recent poll on our Facebook page shows that 65% of voters were happy to see KFC closing, while 35% were sad to see it go.
