Falmouth Carnival made its long-awaited return yesterday evening (7th) as residents lined the streets to celebrate the beginning of a week's worth of events.

Huge numbers of people turned out to support the return of Falmouth Carnival after a one-year absence.

The marching carnival was back better than ever led by Falmouth Marine Band, the band was followed by dinosaurs, Embrace Dance, Gylly Lifesaving Club, Morris dancers, an LGBTQ group, and cheerleaders.

A spokesperson for Falmouth Carnival added:

"Thank you all for coming out in the spirit of Falmouth and supporting the carnival. We were the only carnival to put one foot forward and we look forward to bringing a full carnival back in 2022.

"Thank you to Falmouth Rugby Club for the hospitality, the volunteer marshals, and the many people who worked behind the scene. Also The Wonka Wagon, Tuc N Roll for fuelling the army for the marching parade."
