Nub News recently caught up with the owners of Falmouth's mobile coffee van Karensa (sister cafe of Koffiji).
The mobile coffee van is based on Discovery Quay serving Cornish coffee, freshly made baguettes, delicious hot waffles and Treleavans Cornish Ice Cream.
Owners Paula and Mark opened Karensa last June (2020) to keep serving during lockdown and reopened for the first time this year a few weeks ago.
Mark told Nub News:
"We did one of the festivals and then found the quay was an ideal location for it. We sell ice creams, freshly made sandwiches and have introduced waffles this year. We do coffees, teas and have applied for a licence to serve cocktails, ciders and beer in the evening.
"It will be a takeaway cafe in the daytime and then serve alcohol and snacks in the evening, we will have benches out and we have to try and turn it pretty quickly from a cafe into a cocktail bar.
"It is all fresh, all nice and it is a great location to come down and enjoy a coffee or a tea."
Karensa is open Monday-Sunday 10am-4pm.
