In its third year now Street Draw returned to The Poly with almost double the number of submissions as last year.
StreetDraw24 is an annual drawing event that sees artists, students and art enthusiasts take to the streets of Falmouth over a 24-hour period.
Falmouth Nub News popped in to see the exhibition and chat to organiser Helen Trevaskis on how it has been going.
Helen told Nub News:
"Both the event and the exhibition have gone really well, this is our third year as we had about 80-100 people take part which is over double last year.
"The submissions range from 6 to 86 years old, artists, students, children. Now the exhibition has been on for two days and we are selling a lot of pieces, spreading the word about StreetDraw and sharing the good work St Petrocs do.
"I expected quite a high interest in the drawing event because there isn't much happening at the moment so you have a lot more opportunity to speak to people than you would normally, and also it is an event that is outdoors and to enter into it there is no threshold, financially it is free and you can maintain social distancing. I think the nature of the event works very well in this environment."
From the exhibition and other sponsorship, the amount raised is nearly at £1,000 something which Helen says they want to double.
"It is not a lot but at St Petrocs every little helps, and I hope we are raising a lot of awareness of what is going on during COVID-19."
