How to volunteer at the Falmouth Tall Ships event
It was announced in June that Falmouth would host the prestigious Tall Ships Race for the first time in nearly a decade, having already hosted the event 5 times before with the first being back in 1966.
The ships may not be coming to Falmouth until August but organisers are already looking to secure volunteers and Falmouth Tall Ships Tour tickets have gone on sale.
Volunteer Cornwall is working with those organisers to try and recruit over 100 Falmouth-based volunteers to make sure the event runs smoothly and is remembered positively by the whole town.
There are a variety of roles: providing information and advice to the public; supporting with the flow of visitors into the docks; media; catering; event safety. By volunteering your time you will receive a polo/T shirt to keep, and you will also get free entry to a Tall Ship.
You register your interest here: Tallships Regatta 2023 Volunteer Registration and Heidi Channell, Volunteer Co-ordinator, will be in touch with more information. Ideally, volunteers should be 18+ and live relatively near Falmouth or to a bus/train station.
