Hotel Meudon wins two golds in Taste of the West Awards

Hotel Meudon, near Falmouth, has been awarded gold in both the hotel and restaurant categories in this year's Taste of the West Awards.

This comes just months after new head chef David Waters took over the helm in the kitchen and is the second year running the hotel has claimed the double Gold accolade.

Speaking about the restaurant, the judges said: "This was a truly memorable meal in the most relaxing, idyllic surroundings." The judges went on to describe the food as 'faultless'.

Commenting on the overall stay, the judges said: "The Hotel Meudon transports you to a world of quality, peace, and tranquillity leaving the humdrum of everyday life behind."

Diners are in for a treat this summer with a bevy of memorable foodie experiences, from taster menu nights with the head chef to the Saturday Live Lounge series featuring fresh Cornish mackerel, locally reared steak, and mouth-watering seasonal veg cooked on the BBQ, accompanied by live music.

A special 'Surf n Turf' menu is also available on Saturday evenings, featuring a sharing board of Cote de Boeuf and half a lobster. You can also enjoy the monthly garden tours with the Head Gardener, which includes the hotel's decadent afternoon tea.
