Residents in Falmouth, Penryn and beyond can join in with "treecycling" next month.

Treecycling is a scheme where Christmas trees can be recycled and composted to prevent any potential waste.

A spokesperson for Cornwall Council said:

"We'll collect real trees for free in the weeks beginning January 11th and 18th.

"Place your tree out with your rubbish on the opposite week to your recycling.

"It'll then be shredded and composted."
