Emergency services were scrambled this evening to reports of a collision on the A39, between Treliever and Treluswell roundabouts.

Just after 5pm reports were received of an accident from A393 (Treluswell Roundabout, Tremough) to A394 (Treliever Roundabout, Four Cross).

Following the two-vehicle incident, there was queuing traffic for most of the evening.

The road was reopened just after 7pm.

Adding further details, a spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said:

"Crews from Falmouth, Truro, and Tolvaddon were mobilised to a road traffic collision.

"On arrival the crew discovered one casualty trapped and proceeded to extricate them by removing the roof of the vehicle."

No further details were provided by the fire service.
