Filming for J.K. Rowling's TV crime drama Strike is taking place in Falmouth.

Thursday (10th March) saw Falmouth's Prince of Wales Pier taken over by camera crews for the new series.

Strike - Troubled Blood is the fifth instalment in Rowling's Cormoran Strike TV adaptations.

The series follows Cormoran Strike (Tom Burke), a war veteran turned private detective as he solves brutal murders with the help of his trusted assistant Robin Ellacott (Holliday Grainger).

Cornwall features heavily in the books with the latest novel set in Falmouth and St Mawes.

Speaking to a member of the crew this afternoon, they told Nub News the pier would be shut off for "another couple of hours".

The show isn't likely to air on BBC until later in 2022 or early 2023.
