Pedestrian hit by car

At approximately 8.45pm on Friday 30th November 2018, Police were notified of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and an elderly male pedestrian, in Killigrew Street, Falmouth.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the male died shortly after arriving at Treliske Hospital.

Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team, along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scenes of Crime Officer, attended the scene, where a full examination was carried out to establish the cause of this collision.

The deceased's next of kin have yet to be informed.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience while Killigrew Street was closed for investigation work and are asking for anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw a silver Seat Leon driving in the area at the time, to contact them on 101, quoting log number 863 of 30th November 2018.
