Falmouth's historic live arts venue, The Poly, have been awarded a grant from Arts Council England to support several community-focused projects.
In a statement, The Poly said:
"These projects will help to support our local artists and communities, as well as allowing us to develop our online offerings.
"We'll be taking our Guild shop online, bringing exhibitions to your screens, developing our community pottery to help share our love of ceramics, and more."
They have said that the previously stated is "just a small taste" of what is possible with the grant.
"The whole Poly team has missed you all and we can't wait to share more about what we've got planned," they continued.
"We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us and wished us well during this challenging period, and National Lottery players for making this funding possible."
One resident, reacting to the announcement of the awarding of the grant, said:
"Fantastic news. The Poly is such a key part of Falmouth's culture."
The venue has been closed to the public since March - but has stayed active on social media, postponed most events until next year and offered their members online benefits.
The Poly is planning a phased reopening, which will see The Guild Shop and Spring Gallery opening in August.
The Main Gallery is aiming to open for autumn.
The Theatre and other events are planned to open in early 2021 with limited capacity on a limited number of evenings.
Speaking on the reopening plans, a spokesperson for The Poly said:
"We have been deeply touched by all the kind messages and acts of support we've received since our closure.
"All the staff and trustees wish you good health and good spirits, and look forward to welcoming you back to The Poly when brighter days return."
