The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind. High winds, gusting up to 45mph, are forecast today (3rd May).

Heavy rain is also forecast for 3pm, lasting until around 9pm this evening.

The yellow weather warning will remain in place until 9am tomorrow (4 May). It applies to the entire South West, South Wales, London and much of southern England.

Transport delays are likely, as is damage to outdoor structures.

Visitors to seafront communities are advised that large waves and spray could pose a potential hazard.
