There will be a road closure and a diversion route at Castle Drive from today (17th) until next week.

Expect delays if you are driving in this area.

A spokesperson for Cormac said:

"Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above order in exercise of its powers under to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of the highway being Castle Drive Falmouth between the junction of Bay View Crescent and 15 Castle Drive.

"The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because works are

being executed on or near the road to lay new duct in the carriageway.

"The Order will come into operation on 17th December and the works are expected to be completed by the 21st December. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 0800 and 1800 on a daily basis weekdays only.

"Nothing in this order will apply to emergency services, traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer."
