Falmouth Town Council has appealed for anybody that might have information to come forward after tools were stolen from the mortuary.

The lock was cut off the main gate and security lights were smashed.

A strimmer, two pressure washers a small ride-on mower, a water pump, a Husqvarna mower, a trailer lock and a selection of hand tools were stolen in the break-in.

A spokesperson for Falmouth Town Council said:

"Number plates with the registration CN17 CVF and the burial trailer were stolen. Were you around the area and noticed a vehicle towing a trailer with no number plate on? Have you visited the cemetery and noticed the lock on the gate missing or broken? Do you live in the area and remember hearing anything unusual?

"Please get in contact if you saw or heard anything happening at the cemetery."

If you did see anything you can get in touch with the council here.
