For the second year in a row, Falmouth School was a sea of yellow as part of the Hello Yellow campaign for Young Minds children's mental health charity for World Mental Health Day last week.

In their hundreds, students and staff dressed in yellow and brought donations to create a "fantastic atmosphere" around the school.

The overall total raised from the day was an incredible £852.09.

Falmouth School SENCO, Carly Brooker said:

"It was fantastic to see our school community pull together to share such an important message."

The fundraising didn't stop there as Year 10 student Emily took part in a 'sponsored silence' for the day.

Emily, equipped with a mini whiteboard and pen, kept quiet for the whole school day and raised a total of £53.30 all by herself.
