Falmouth School announces date of students return

Falmouth School has announced the dates that students will return following the recent tightening of coronavirus restrictions.
The government announced yesterday schools and colleges will reopen on the 18th January.
This afternoon, Falmouth School announced the following guidelines:
- Monday 4th January 2021 – this will be an INSET day as originally planned and no students should attend.
- Tuesday-Friday 5th-8th January 2021 – there will be NO students in school, EXCEPT for those who have national exams who will need to come in for their exams only later in the week (Engineering, Child Development and Creative Media) AND children of critical workers and vulnerable children.
- From Monday 11th January 2021 – students in exam groups i.e. year 11, 12 and 13 should return to school. Remote education will continue for all other students. Children of critical workers and vulnerable children may attend school.
- From Monday 18th January 2021 – all students return to full-time face to face education in school.
Alex George, Interim Headteacher at Falmouth School said:
"Unfortunately the recent news about the Covid-19 virus infections has had an impact on the start of next term.
"I wanted to email to let you know how this will affect Falmouth School. I am sure you appreciate that this is what we know at present and there may be further changes if the situation with the Covid-19 virus develops.
"You will have also have heard of lateral flow testing for Covid-19 that will be taking place in schools. We are still receiving information on this and we will let you know more once we have made our plans.
