The Salvation Army in Falmouth has launched its annual Christmas Toy Appeal to ensure every child within a family in need in the local area receives a present on Christmas Day.

The Salvation Army, with their church and community centre based on Brook Street, introduced the toy appeal in 2017 donating new toys to drop off points in the town, but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, it will be different this year.

Church minister Andrew Hammond told Nub News:

"We are asking for people to make a financial donation via our just giving page which may be accessed via the QR Code on the advertisement. From the donations, we will purchase the toys.

"Alternatively, people may donate a new unwrapped toy at The Salvation Army, Brook St, Falmouth, TR11 3RJ between 10am and 2pm on 3rd and 4th December.

"We are thankful to the many local businesses who are advertising our Christmas Toy Appeal."

Local businesses who have helped to advertise the toy appeal include:

Myatts of Falmouth Butchers, Falmouth Fishmongers, The Chic Pea, Fuel, Harbour Lights Fish & Chips Falmouth, Trago Mills, Wilko, Hine Downing Solicitors, Happy Palace Chinese Takeaway, Select Convenience, NatWest, Boots, The Natural Store, Falmouth, Falmouth SPAR & Post Office, Caffè Nero, Santander UK, Costa Coffee, Lloyds Bank, Tesco Metro and The Corner Shop.
