On Thursday night players and coaching staff from Falmouth Rugby Club went under the shave to signal the start of Movember.
Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues.
Jon Baglow told Nub News: "Movember is about raising awareness of men's mental health issues and other health issues including cancers etc.
"I think Movember is a really good way of getting everybody together for a good cause, especially as a rugby club.
"I think it is really important that we raise awareness of these issues, sometimes men might not be talking to each other and might not turn up to training because they are down about stuff, we have to spread more awareness about that."
Toby from The Town Barber, Falmouth, offered to shave the players and staff, with the price at £5 per shave, with all the money going towards Movember UK.
Jon Baglow, added: "We are just trying to do better than last year, last time we kind of just threw it together a bit and we managed to raise £800 which is a really great job.
"This year a bit more planning has gone into it and we have a shaving event at the end of the month to raise a bit more money.
"Get stuck in, all you need to do is have a shave and grow a moustache for a month and look like a bit of a muppet."
