Falmouth's inshore lifeboat responded to reports of two swimmers requiring assistance at Porthbeor Beach on the Roseland, on Sunday (28th)

The team launched at 12:19 and made their way out of the harbour.

An RNLI spokesperson said:

"They found one swimmer at the end the beach who was transferred to the lifeboat by an accompanying paddleboarder.

"The swimmer was checked over by a crewmember trained in casualty care, and although cold and tired from the weather conditions, were assessed to be in no immediate danger.

"With the second swimmer onshore and having made their way to the cliff path above, the inshore lifeboat took the swimmer on to St Mawes, where the lifeboat was stood down and returned to the station."
