A Falmouth couple is set to host a Christmas lights trail for children and families following on from the success of the Halloween edition.

For Halloween, Nigel and Kay Kitto of 77 Dracaena Avenue, decorated their garden with lights, illuminated inflatables and glowing decorations.

Children and families entered through the front gate (no more than 4 at a time) walking through the garden and collecting a bag of treats at the end.

Now the pair will be hosting a Christmas version, beginning on Friday 4th December - after being inundated with requests following the Halloween lights trail.

Nub News caught up with Kay to find out more about the lights, she said:

"We did the Halloween trail which was very popular, we had around 50 families visit that night and many of those people asked if we would be doing something similar for Christmas.

"My husband Nigel and I thought about it for a few days and decided we would as it's been such a rubbish year for everyone so why not spread some Christmas cheer to lift the community spirit.

"Feedback was nothing but positive (from Halloween) about how the children and their families really enjoyed it and one lady sent me some flowers to thank me for doing a nice thing for the community."

Nigel and Kay purchased the lights and Lights4fun kindly made a donation of two sets of reindeer lights for the front window and five stars which will be going in the upstairs windows.

They will be accepting donations on the evenings to go towards charity and the couple is kickstarting the charity fund with £200.

The lights trail will include a magic window at the front of the house, trees, stars, reindeer and other lights, a small bag of chocolate treats and stickers will be at the end for the children.

The dates are as follows:

Friday 4th 6.30pm - 8pm

Saturday 5th 6.30pm - 8pm

Friday 11th 6.30pm - 8pm
