The Working Boat in Falmouth raised £4,328 for local and national charities in 2019.

Each month in 2019 The Working Boat chose a charity or cause, nominated by staff members and regular quizzers, and hosted their popular weekly quiz night with the aim of raising as much as possible for each organisation.

Ryan Blake, Manager at The Working Boat, said:

"We're extremely passionate about supporting charities wherever possible, and the whole team gets on board to ensure the quiz nights are a great success and a lot of fun!"

The charities that benefited in 2019 were Falmouth Community Youth Football, MQ Mental Health, Parkinson's UK, Fishermen's Mission, British Heart Foundation, Surfers Against Sewage, ShelterBox, Hospitality Action, The Lily Foundation, Cornwall Air Ambulance, Falmouth and Penryn Foodbank, Movember, and Crisis.

After such a successful year of fundraising, The Working Boat has said that it will be continuing the pub quizzes throughout 2020, with a fresh batch of chosen charities.

The pub quizzes are every Sunday from 7:30pm and free to attend, with an optional suggested donation of £1.
