Falmouth Police tasked to crash after car skids on ice

A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for icy conditions.

The warning is in place from this evening until tomorrow morning with one motorist running into trouble in the early hours.

Falmouth and Helston Police were at the A394, Rame this morning after it was blocked both ways when a car skidded on the ice and crashed into a parked car.

The road was closed for around an hour as emergency services worked to clear the route.

The ice is could cause travel disruption tonight and early Saturday so drive safely.

  • Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
Icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths

  • When snow or icy roads are forecast you should adjust your driving to suit the conditions and take extra care.
