Police in Falmouth will be targeting anti-social behaviour hotspot areas.

Falmouth police will be deploying patrols in hotspot areas in an attempt to tackle recent anti-social behaviour.

There have been a number of incidents around the town recently including on Avenue Road with a group of teenagers reportedly committing theft, throwing eggs toward vehicles, and placing traffic cones through the middle of the road.

Another egg-related incident was also reported on Market Street.

In response to the recent spate of anti-social behaviour, Inspector Andy Shorten from Falmouth police said the team is directing officers to hotspot areas in which the incidents are taking place.

He added:

"The local Neighbourhood Policing Team are working closely with the ASB Team from the Council, the youth offending service and local schools in order to identify those responsible and take appropriate action.

"I would encourage anyone who witnesses any incidents and anyone who has any information about incidents of anti-social behaviour in Falmouth, to contact 101."
