In soaring temperatures, as part of the inaugural Falmouth International Arts Festival swimmers from Gorran Haven Coldwater Crew took to the water at Gyllyngvase beach in Falmouth wearing hat sculptures created by Cornish artists Sue Hill and Meier Williams.

Femmes de la Mer, a 15-strong shanty singing group of women hailing from across the county sang to them from the sand.

Falmouth International Arts Festival began on Saturday 9th July and continues until Friday 15th July with something for everyone across Falmouth's venues, parks, and beaches.
