Falmouth & Penryn Churches Together have praised the "fantastic" response from the community to the Coronavirus outbreak and is hoping that this community work will continue after the virus.
Falmouth and Penryn Churches Together is the coordinating body for the churches in the area.
Roger Mills, from Falmouth & Penryn Churches Together told Nub News:
"The response from the community to this has been fantastic, particularly in Cornwall and in Falmouth and Penryn.
"The longer this goes on I imagine people will start getting angry and fed up so we have to be prepared for that, we need to keep sending out a positive message, that is really the churches role in this."
With the churches closing services have been moved online and pre-recorded services have been set up and live sessions.
Roger added:
"We keep an eye on what everybody is doing and we do things together when we can, the problem is that everything we do in the church is concerned with bringing everybody together and now we have to reinvent it as a mirror image to keep people apart.
"There is a lot happening online now the church buildings are completely closed, we are trying to replicate services online, both live and pre-recorded, and are keeping in touch with e-mail newsletters.
"Most churches are setting up telephone rotas to ring round members regularly as a number of people might not have access to go online.
"Church leaders are working together to provide pastoral support where needed, especially for those who are lonely, unwell or bereaved.
"Members will be joining local community groups to help do shopping and other tasks for people. From being involved in these community groups this has set up new relationships which is very positive and I hope when this dies down that those relationships will continue."
