The Falmouth Oyster Festival, due to go ahead from Thursday 7th and Sunday 10th October, has been cancelled.

The decision was taken by the organisers after ongoing covid concerns in the Duchy.

This is the second year running the festival has been called off, the people behind the festival said they reached the decision because of the high levels of covid in Cornwall at the moment, and the social nature of the event.

Organisers say they're "very disappointed" but have plans for a bigger and better event in 2022.
