There's one less thing to think about over the festive period as kerbside rubbish and recycling collections in Cornwall will not be affected.

Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th December 2021 and Monday 3rd January 2022 are bank holidays, but rubbish and recycling will be collected as usual.

Except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, the Household Waste and Recycling Centres will be open from 9am to 4pm throughout the festive period.

Cornwall Council portfolio holder for neighbourhoods Carol Mould said:

"Our crews will be out as usual over the festive bank holidays, and I want to thank them for all they do and for their hard work over the last year. They really have been heroes working on the front line during the pandemic."

Full details of the rubbish and recycling collection arrangements over Christmas and New Year are published on the Cornwall Council website.
