Ethan Pattison, the owner of Falmouth's HFM Barbers is set to take on a streaming challenge raising money for charity.

On Saturday 7th August, Ethan will be hosting a 24 hour online Formula 1 stream in support of Men's Mental Health and Man Down.

When Ethan was 26 he suffered from depression and drug addiction, he ended up losing everything, but it was at that point when he realised he needed help.

Ethan worked his way back to reopen HFM, on Acacia Road, last June - even opening up a second store next door shortly after.

Through the fundraiser, Ethan wants give something back, and as he streams F1 on Twitch, he is combining a passion of his to raise money for Man Down.

He will also be fundraising for a go-karting day for the guys at St Evral - with a target set at £1,000.

The event is being sponsored by Stans Games, donating free Formula 1 2021 games.

Streamer Ryan Andrew is also backing the 24-hour challenge by gifting a £270 Logitech wheel. There will be a raffle alongside the 24 hours of streaming.

Ethan is hoping to exceed the fundraising target with every penny raised going straight to charity.

He told Nub News:

"I just wanted to give something back really now I am back on track and doing okay.

"I feel like my streaming community is a great platform and support network for men. I am going to be talking a lot about it and my personal experience on the stream, my main target is to raise money for Man Down but also have those uncomfortable conversations, but to let people know it is okay.

"The idea is to get out there, I feel like raising money for the men who are struggling, let them release those endorphins but have that natural male competitiveness with a go-kart will be really great."

Ethan explained his hopes to pick a different charity each year, making this a recurring event.

To enter the raffle you will have to be subscribing to the stream, and then it'll be £10 a ticket, and £3 a ticket for the game.

On the stream will be a video reel every hour of other guys discussing their personal experiences.

Looking forward to the event, Ethan added:

"I am buzzing for it, 24 hours is a long time but I am really excited, design friend Danny Trick has helped me put the promotional content together, on the poster is a QR code that will enable you to join the fundraiser."
