Luxury Falmouth self-catering apartments are set to be converted into one house after planning permission was granted.

Submitted by Mr Dodge of Business Location Services Ltd on behalf of Mr and Mrs Scott (applicants) - the planning application is for the change of use of existing owners flat and 4 holiday units at Kinbrae House on Gyllyngvase Road to a single residential dwelling.

The property has been used for the purposes of 4 holiday flats and owner's flat since 1985.

The application reads: "Falmouth is identified as one of the main towns for the delivery of housing and the proposed development will contribute to the windfall housing targets in the Falmouth/Penryn Community Network Area.

"There are no proposed changes to the external appearance of the building as a result of the change of use and any internal minor alterations to be made will be subject to approval under the building regulations as appropriate.

"Kinbrae House forms part of Gyllyngvase Terrace, which is predominately a residential area. The proposed development is considered to be sustainable development and there is no conflict with policy guidance at the national and local level arising from the proposed change of use to a single residential dwelling."

Conditional approval was given for the change of use this week (5th).
