Falmouth Community Fire Station issue warning over scam.

Warnings have been issued by Falmouth Community Fire Station and to the rest of Cornwall's fire services regarding reports of a scam going around.

The scam started at Looe Community Fire Station, with somebody making phone calls claiming to represent the station asking for donations for a community newsletter.

Falmouth Community Fire Station said in a statement today:

"Please be aware of a scam that we have been made aware of that has taken place in Looe.

"Please be aware and remember that we would never make phone calls asking for money.

"If you have any information regarding this scam, please make a note of any details and get in touch with us either via email at [email protected] or through our social media accounts."
