Cornish Banks Summer Camp

We are going on tour again! This time not far, in fact, you can see the woodlands from the Bank where we shall be hosting our first ever all-day summer camp. Seven incredible acts from Cornwall, Madagascar, Egypt, Norway, Japan and out of space.

This is a celebration of world folk and dance in the woods, raising funds for Falmouth & Penryn Welcome Refugees.

The lineup:

Yama Warashi (Japan) - inspired by Japanese folk dance, free jazz, tribal African music, and psychedelia

Mazaher (Egypt) - an collective ancient community healing ritual of singing, polyrhythmic drumming and dancing

Skillywidden (Cornwall) - legends of Celtic/Cornish folk music and dance

Brooke Sharkey (UK/Norway) - delicate indie-folk. Soul searching, spacious and poetic songs

Paddy Steer (UK) - "sounds like a Swiss cuckoo clock made of egg boxes and horsehair, glued together by an African Moog player in a Vietnamese iron monger's shop"

Modeste Hughes (Madagascar) - an award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist playing a unique blend of traditional Malagasy sounds.

Askel Undset (Norway) - Norwegian guitarist and lap steel player.
