A Falmouth driver has been reported after running a red light while being followed by a marked police car.

Writing on social media, Falmouth Police said:

"Despite being followed by a marked police car, one driver decided that a red traffic light did not apply to them.

"Promptly pulled over where officers located a bald tyre on the vehicle. The driver has been reported."

This comes following the seizing of a stolen vehicle by officers in Falmouth on Monday.

A police spokesperson said:

"Stolen vehicle located by officers in Falmouth. Recovered back to the station where it awaits collection by the owner."
